private investment statistics related to the BOI
registered projects
In Bangladesh, BOI conducted
the first actual
FDI survey during 2002 and officially
disseminated the Survey findings, which was eventually
incorporated in the World Investment Report
2003 in a Text Box (WIR200: page 51).

Publications section.
Registration is official approval
of expression of investment intent by the investor.
During registration, entrepreneur submits investment
proposal to BOI to be implemented in a specified
period. Thus registration means investment commitment
by the intending investor, not actual investment.
